Description: Division R&D Department Engine Design Level SP Functional Area Powertrain Design 1 Job Title Design Engineer (SP) - Research and Development 2 Reporting Team lead Manager /EX 3 Background i) Educational Qualification Diploma in Mechanical or Automobile engineering from reputed institute. ii) Experience Minimum: 8 Maximum: 15 iii) Age Limit Minimum: 30 Maximum: 38 4 Job Role & Responsibilities Role: Design engineer Responsibilities: Responsible for design of engine components which includes 3D modelling, Drafting. Co-ordinating with Manufacturing team, Testing team. Visit vendor, Detailed analysis of failure components, Measurements. Interplant discussions whenever required. 5 Competency Requirements - Expertise in Develop and refine 3D cad model and in technical drawing using Siemens UG NX - Experience in core / skeleton modelling for engine components. - Knowledge of manufacturing of casting / forging process. - Skill to Collaborate with engineering team to ensure feasibility & manufacturability of design components and team work. - Sound knowledge of GD&T. - Knowledge of global product landscape and benchmarking activity. - Innovation skill, design of component for optimum weight and cost effective 6 Likely sources Automobile industry, Design centres
