Description: Division R&D Department 2Wh EV Veh Design Level EX Functional Area 2Wh EV – SP&C group Hor. - Plastics/Trims 1 Job Title Asst Manager/Manager 2 Reporting Functional reporting to : LX 3 Background i) Educational Qualification Essential: - B.E / B. Tech Mechanical Engg from reputed University / Institute - Should have been consistent & secured good percentage throughout academics (SSC, HSC, Diploma, Graduation etc.) ii) Experience Minimum: 3 Year(s) Maximum: 8 Year(s) iii) Age Limit Minimum: 25 Year(s) Maximum: 30 Year(s) 4 Job Role & Responsibilities Role: Entire design lifecycle of two-wheeler exterior/plastics/Trims which includes the following stages - Sound knowledge of Body Parts/Exterior/Panels and trim design. - Knowledge of CAD modelling, PLM tools. Hands on experience of UG-NX/CATIA, Team center or equivalent - Knowledge of FE analysis and experience in ANSYS/HYPERMESH or equivalent FE software - Ability to multitask: Testing co-ordination, Benchmarking, Dealing with suppliers - Knowledge of different types of materials, manufacturing processes used in Plastic design. Knowledge of manufacturing guidelines and methods to overcome defects in plastic parts. - Application of GD&T, DFMEA, DFM etc. Technical/ Functional: - Proficient in Plastic/Trim Part design of various parts such as fender, fairing assembly, seats, side panels etc. - Virtual simulation (CAE, FEA) for part design and takeaways from it. - Good understanding & awareness of new technologies in vehicle interior design - Basic knowledge of vehicle layout design, ergonomics and homologation requirements - Good communication skill 5 Competency Requirements Behavioral - Ready to take initiatives, Desire to Learn - Effective team player and ability to lead small teams - Proactive and Good interpersonal skills Specific expertise required for functional areas: - Unigraphics-NX (CRITICAL) - Teamcenter Engineering or PLM system - FEA (Ansys /Hyper mesh/Nastran) - Exposure to design standards - Exposure to relevant regulations (Current, Future) 6 Likely sources OEMs – TVS, Hero Motor, Tata Motors, M&M, Maruti-Suzuki, Eicher-Volvo, Service Industry – TCS, TTL, Wipro, Tata Elxsi
