Required qualifications & skills - Master's degree or above in mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, data science, AI, machine learning, or a related quantitative field. - 4 or more years of analytics experience in financial services or a related industry, with at least 2 years focused on Generative AI, Agentic AI, or machine learning. - Hands-on technical knowledge of common AI and machine learning techniques, with the ability to critically assess their application and limitations in a financial context. - Experience working in financial services, with a clear understanding of the risk, regulatory, and governance landscape relevant to AI systems. - Ability to communicate complex technical findings clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally, to a range of technical and non-technical audiences. - Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams with precision, meeting deadlines and maintaining quality across all deliverables. - Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build effective working relationships across technical, risk, and governance teams. Beneficial skills & qualifications - Prior experience in model validation, including the independent review and challenge of quantitative models or AI systems within a financial institution. What we offer At Citi, you will work in a high-performing, globally connected team that sits at the intersection of AI innovation and financial risk governance. This is a role with real influence — your assessments and recommendations shape how AI is deployed responsibly across one of the most complex financial organisations in the world. - A hybrid working arrangement with 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely, providing flexibility alongside meaningful in-person collaboration. - Exposure to the full spectrum of AI sub-fields — from Generative AI and Agentic AI to computer vision and anomaly detection — at a scale few organisations can offer. - The opportunity to contribute to strategic, cross-functional initiatives that influence AI governance standards across global markets and business lines. - Continuous learning and professional development, with access to cutting-edge AI and risk management practices in a rapidly evolving field. - A performance-driven environment where your analytical contributions are visible, valued, and directly connected to business outcomes. - Competitive financial wellbeing and benefits, alongside a global organisation with long-term career pathways across risk, AI, and financial services.
