Description: We are seeking an experienced Senior Claims Reporting Consultant / Specialist to join our Claims function on a contract basis. We have a mature claims reporting suite — 40+ Power BI reports in production for over a year — and now need a senior individual who can extend its analytical and insight capability. The successful candidate will bridge the business and technical sides of reporting: engaging senior stakeholders, drawing out true requirements, shaping an optimal solution, and delivering it hands-on in Power BI. This is a senior, consultative role rather than a build-only contractor position. Requirements: - Power BI — hands-on, from wireframing through to finalised, production-grade reports (enhancements and new builds). - Data, analytics and reporting design — able to structure data and insights effectively. - Data governance and quality awareness - ensuring outputs are trustworthy. - Ability to build wireframes and prototypes quickly to validate requirements with the business. - Stakeholder Mangement. - Communication & Insights Responsibilities: - Independently elicit requirements from the Claims business and translate business needs into strong reporting designs. - Define a target-state insights capability — not simply replicating existing reports, but identifying missing insights, prioritising them with the business, and mapping the path to an optimal solution. - Deliver hands-on in Power BI, from wireframing and prototyping through to finalised, production-grade reports (both enhancements and new builds). - Act as the senior reporting lead and single credible partner for the Claims team, setting direction and driving work forward proactively.
