Job description

Description: Senior Quality Engineer (Manual & Automation) Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Engineer with expertise in both manual and automated testing for modern full stack web applications. This role is responsible for defining end to end quality strategy, ensuring product reliability, and driving excellence across manual, automated, and AI assisted testing practices. You will design robust test frameworks, validate complex business workflows, collaborate closely with engineering teams, and contribute to a high quality delivery culture across the organization. Key Responsibilities Test Strategy, Architecture & Execution • Lead the design, development, and execution of both manual and automated test plans for full stack React applications. • Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript. • Perform functional, regression, integration, and end to end testing across both UI and API layers. • Validate business workflows, cross system integrations, and data flows with a strong focus on completeness and accuracy. • Ensure test suites are reliable, efficient, and integrated with CI/CD pipelines. AI Assisted Testing & Quality Insights • Use AI/LLM based tools to accelerate test case generation, analyze failures, and improve test data coverage. • Identify patterns in defects and results to drive quality improvements and reduce recurring issues. • Recommend enhancements to test strategy through insights, trends, and risk analysis. Automation Engineering • Contribute to automation framework design, improvements, and long term scalability. • Implement automation best practices, reusable components, and robust test data strategies. • Ensure automated tests are consistent, maintainable, and optimized for continuous execution. Defect Analysis, Collaboration & Delivery • Log, track, prioritize, and validate defects while collaborating closely with development teams. • Participate in design discussions to ensure testability and promote quality driven engineering practices. • Work closely with backend, frontend, and product teams to clarify requirements and ensure end to end coverage. Systems & Domain Understanding • Test integrated, enterprise scale systems with multiple dependencies, APIs, and data sources. • Validate backend data flows and structures (e.g., MongoDB) as part of end to end quality checks. • Apply domain knowledge—especially in Supply Chain or Logistics—where applicable to ensure accurate functional validation. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field. • 7-9 years of experience in Software Testing or Quality Engineering. • Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals, quality assurance principles, and engineering best practices. • Hands on experience building and executing Playwright automation using TypeScript/JavaScript. • Experience validating React applications, REST APIs, and backend data structures. • Demonstrated ability to test large, enterprise scale web applications with complex integrations. • Exposure to AI assisted testing or LLM based quality workflows. • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem solving skills. • Experience working in Agile environments with cross functional teams. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Supply Chain / Logistics domain experience is a plus. Preferred Skills • Experience scaling automation in CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments. • Knowledge of API contract testing, schema validation, and data driven testing. • Familiarity with service virtualization, mocks, and stubs for distributed system testing. • Experience with performance, load, or reliability testing is a strong plus. • Understanding of modern QA tooling ecosystems and observability practices. What Success Looks Like • Delivering high quality releases driven by strong test coverage, automation reliability, and proactive risk identification. • Strengthening engineering excellence by reducing regressions, improving automation stability, and supporting faster release cycles. • Enhancing product quality through insightful defect analysis, improved test design, and effective cross team collaboration. • Contributing to long term quality strategy, improving frameworks, and elevating team capabilities in both manual and automation disciplines.
