Description: Group Company: TVS Motor Company Designation: Proving Engineer Office Location: Hosur Plant (Plant) Years of experience: 4-8 Position description: The basic purpose of this position is to implement planned activities with achievement of planned results. A proving engineer has learn the nuances of various processes and process proving while gradually learning the basics of process design. He/she has to interface with various departments to ensure that the job assigned to him/her is completed. He/she to learn basic documentation, mainly technical. Primary Responsibilities: - Read part drawings / process and understanding the process to be done in terms of automation. - Decide the type of automation to be used for performing the desired Assembly Operations/Testing/inspection/part handling/material movement. - Conceptualize various concepts to fulfil the requirement. - Prepare PFD and PFMEA With the supporting documents. - Able to calculate total time required for Assembly or Testing. - Estimation of the Assembly Automation/Test Rig and give techno commercial proposal. - Generate various alternatives and get approval for Automation/Test rigs and interact with customers and cell head to freeze on the concept of Automation/Test rigs. - Prepare Equipment Note, Layout & DAP - Signoff and carry Inspection and validation at supplier end as per DAP signoff. - Plan Installation, commissioning and adherence and also ensure project closure as per timeline. - Prepare the overall project plan and monitor for adherence. - Plan new or breakthrough technology with respect to Automation. - Ensure horizontal deployment of improvements across all project
