Description: Designation : Assistant Manager Level : L3 Location : Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India Experience : 4 - 8 years Job Role : An experienced Data Business Analyst to support a back-office database migration. This person will own the data mapping process — translating current datasets used across the firm into the structure and logic of the new system — while working closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure accuracy, completeness, and sign-off. Responsibilities : Own the end-to-end data mapping process, from requirements gathering through validation and vendor sign-off l Collaborate across operations, engineering, product, compliance, and vendor teams to define the source-of-truth for each data element l Produce and maintain mapping documentation, including field-level mappings, value translations, structural differences, known gaps, execution order, and validation criteria l Investigate and resolve data quality issues, distinguishing between engineering-solvable problems and source-data limitations l Coordinate review sessions with internal stakeholders and external vendors, track open items to closure, and ensure alignment before implementation l Pull data samples and write profiling queries to validate mappings and surface defects prior to handoff Required skills : data mapping, data migration, or data analysis, ideally within financial services or back-office operations,Strong SQL skills and comfort writing profiling/validation queries l Excellent cross-functional communication skills; able to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
