Description: The Cell Design Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, validation, and optimization of lithium-ion battery cells. The role involves working on cell chemistry, electrochemical performance, mechanical design, material selection, and manufacturing feasibility to ensure high-performance, safe, and reliable battery cells. Requirements: B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech/PhD in Chemical Engineering, Electrochemistry, Materials Science, Energy Engineering, or related field. Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities - Design and develop lithium-ion battery cells for energy storage and EV applications. - Optimize cell architecture, electrode design, and material selection to improve energy density, power density, cycle life, and safety. - Perform electrochemical modeling, simulation, and performance analysis. - Collaborate with R&D, process engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams for cell development and scale-up. - Analyze cell performance through testing, validation, and failure analysis. - Develop Design Verification Plans (DVP) and support qualification testing. - Evaluate new battery materials, technologies, and cell chemistries. - Drive continuous improvement in cell performance, manufacturability, and cost optimization. - Support pilot production and technology transfer to manufacturing. - Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety requirements, and product specifications.
