Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to lead the development of hydraulic hammer attachments for construction and mining equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical design, product development, and project management within the heavy equipment industry. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and optimise hydraulic hammer attachments, ensuring compliance with performance, safety, and quality standards. - Lead cross-functional teams through the product development lifecycle, from concept to production release. - Perform structural and dynamic analysis, material selection, and validation of hammer components. - Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, and quality teams to ensure cost-effective and robust solutions. - Engage with customers and service teams to gather feedback and drive continuous product improvement. - Prepare detailed technical documentation, drawings, and reports as required. Qualifications & Skills - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. - Minimum 10 years of experience in attachment or heavy equipment development, specifically with hydraulic hammers preferred. - Strong proficiency in CAD software and FEA tools. - Hands-on experience in prototype assembly, testing, and field validation. - Experience in handling aggregate design for Excavator would be an added advantage. - Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills. - Knowledge of relevant IS/ISO/EN standards applicable to heavy equipment attachments. Preferred Attributes - Experience working with international teams and suppliers. - Exposure to lean product development and value engineering. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in Design for Six Sigma.
