Roles& Responsibilities:Own end‑to‑end OLS architecturePerform trade‑off analysis across cost, performance, openness, and scaleFlex‑Grid‑capable WSS, EDFA/Raman amplifiers, and passive elements.Make long‑term platform and technology choices, and understand the nuances behind Nokia’s architectural decisionsDrive alignment across hardware, software, and ecosystem strategyBring exposure to Open ROADM MSA, TIP, OIF, or equivalent forum‑based optical system developmentUnderstand SDN concepts and YANG modelling for Layer‑0Required Qualifications:12+ years of experience in IP and Optical Development for OTN products.Strong proficiency in C and C++ programming and Linux operating system fundamentals.Flex Grid DWDM systemsOpen Line Systems and disaggregated optical architecturesOpen ROADM specifications and YANG modelsCoherent optics, modulation schemes, and line impairmentsSkilled in a diverse array of DWDM/SONET/SDH/OTN equipment and configurations.Experience in OTN L0/L1 ProductsExperience in developing and debugging Device Drivers, Bootloaders, and Board support PackagesAble read and understand the Hardware-software spec.Strong hands-on experience with I2C, SPI, PCIe, GPIO, Serdes, SGMII, GPIO Interfaces is a plusExperience with Linux kernel related issues, debug Kernel Panics and apply Patches.Adaptation to new products and technologies.Exceptional customer focus.Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.Interpersonal skills and decision-making abilities.Job Description - Grade SpecificFocus on Connectivity and Network Engineering.
