Ericsson—Master 5G baseband Developer

Job description

Description: Join our Team About this opportunity At Ericsson, we are the world leader in 5G innovation and deployment, powering a connected future where technology improves the way we live and work. With unmatched expertise and market penetration in 5G New Radio (NR), we are shaping the future of communication – and pioneering advancements that will lead us into the era of 6G. The Opportunity: For the first time, we are opening doors for highly skilled GPP 5G L1/L2 software designers in India to be part of our global development teams. This is your chance to contribute directly to the evolution of Ericsson 5G NR and play a critical role in defining how millions connect and communicate worldwide. What I bring to the role - Deep software architecture expertise — 18+ years designing, developing, and optimizing high-performance 5G L2 Scheduler and general L2 software modules on GPP platforms, with a focus on clean abstractions, algorithmic efficiency, and long-term code health. - Cross-functional technical leadership — Guiding global engineering teams through the full product lifecycle, translating complex scheduling and MAC-layer requirements into coherent software designs while mentoring engineers on implementation strategy. - Forward-looking software stewardship — Driving 5G NR scheduler innovation with software architectures that anticipate 6G evolution, ensuring today's design decisions don't become tomorrow's technical debt. - Rigorous software quality engineering — Leading debugging, integration, and validation of L2 Scheduler features to meet carrier-grade standards and operator SLAs, with an emphasis on building testability, determinism, and observability into the codebase. - Collaborative technical governance — Shaping outcomes through design reviews, code reviews, and architecture forums that raise the bar for software craftsmanship across the organization. *All academic credentials must be from recognized and accredited institutions and are further subject to verification
