Job description

Description: As a member of Zensar's SAP practice, you will work closely with functional consultants, architects, and AI engineering teams to deliver high‑quality ABAP code for S/4HANA landscapes. You will be responsible for end‑to‑end development, integration, and support of RICEFW objects, OData services, and AI‑enabled extensions, ensuring compliance with ATC standards and agile delivery practices. Requirements: - 5‑10 years of hands‑on ABAP development experience, including OOABAP. - Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA, CDS, OData, AMDP/HANA SQL. - Strong knowledge of enhancements (BADI, User‑Exits, BTE) and SAP Workflow/Forms. - Experience with SAP ADT, Eclipse, and transport management. - Integration expertise: REST, SOAP, SAP Gateway, BTP integration. - Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot). - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field; SAP ABAP/S/4HANA certification preferred. - Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies. - Ability to mentor junior developers and communicate effectively with stakeholders. - Exposure to SAP BTP, RAP, and AI‑enabled SAP solutions is a plus. Responsibilities: - Design, develop, test, and deploy ABAP solutions for SAP S/4HANA. - Create and enhance RICEFW objects (reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, workflows). - Build OData services, CDS views, RAP applications and APIs. - Perform code reviews, performance tuning, ATC compliance and unit testing. - Manage transports and support change management. - Develop integrations with external systems using REST, SOAP, and SAP Gateway. - Work with SAP ADT/Eclipse and modern development tools. - Collaborate with functional consultants, architects and AI engineering teams. - Enable AI‑assisted development via MCP servers and AI copilots. - Provide production support, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
