Advanced Numerical Simulation Engineer

Job Description: The Advanced Numerical Simulation team is a part of the ‘Structural Analysis’ group in the Structures department and plays a key role across the lifecycle (Design, Certification and Inservice) of current and future aircraft programmes by developing and deploying state of the art and credible advanced numerical structural simulations.

Job scope (core activities)

• Assessing the static and dynamic strengths using Linear / Non Linear Finite Element Analysis to evaluate the structural integrity of the aircraft for the gamut of loads aircrafts are subjected to

• Detect unforeseen structural design issues and recommend structural design modifications during the aircraft development

• Support certification of the aircrafts by derisking certification tests

• Carrying out Root Cause Analysis and support resolving inservice issues

• Use simulations to optimize manufacturing and assembly processes
