Job Description: Assistant Manager – Operations Department: Operations Function: Sort Center Operations Job Summary Responsible for managing end-to-end sort center operations, ensuring timely shipment sortation, staging, dispatch, operational efficiency, and service-level adherence. The role involves team leadership, performance monitoring, process improvement, and cross-functional coordination. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily sort center operations, including shipment flow, sortation, staging, dispatch, and shift handovers.
• Monitor operational KPIs, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to achieve targets.
• Lead Shift In-charges, Line Leaders, Process Associates, and on-roll/off-roll teams.
• Manage manpower planning, rostering, attendance, productivity, and performance.
• Train and mentor teams on SOPs, quality standards, and safety practices.
• Drive Lean, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives to improve throughput and reduce operational costs.
• Ensure compliance with EHS standards, workplace safety, audits, and incident reporting.
• Coordinate with Transportation, HR, IT, Maintenance, and Quality teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Prepare MIS reports, analyze performance trends, and escalate operational issues to senior management.
