Job Description: As a Design Engineer within Dealer growth and Retail Solutions (DG&RS) team of Caterpillar, you will be responsible for design and development of diesel, gas generator systems and sub-systems. You will be integral part of mechanical design team which work on concepting, designing and development of Base frame, Enclosure, control panel, breaker panel, exhaust lines, air intake & fuel systems. This position directly impacts Caterpillar’s current and future generator products developed for various markets. Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Design and development of Base frame, Enclosure, air intake, exhaust, fuel systems, control panel and circuit breaker panels for diesel and gas generator products
• Perform design calculations, structural analysis and mechanical components selection to meet product functional design requirements
• Create new CAD models and drawings for systems, sub-systems, assemblies, and components using Creo.
