• Team Supervision: Assign registers, coordinate breaks, and monitor checkout lines to reduce customer wait times.
• Cash & Till Management: Open and close registers, verify starting change funds, balance drawers at the end of shifts, and generate accurate sales reports.
• Customer Service & Escalations: Handle complex returns, exchanges, price overrides, and de-escalate customer complaints.
• Training & Coaching: Onboard new cashiers on Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, store policies, and safety standards.
• Loss Prevention: Enforce cash-handling security rules, monitor for suspicious activity, and audit transaction logs.
• Administrative Support: Liaise with the business or finance office to resolve register discrepancies and prepare bank deposits.
