You will be part of a team of mechanical engineers and design technicians in the casing and rotor design team in Large Gas Turbine compressor department. The purpose of this team is to support the development of new rotor, casing, blades and vanes components, plain bearings, machine support during the design and development phases, and to evaluate manufacturing deviations and field support of existing hardware. An important aspect of the position is to help shape the implementation and industrialization of new designs and technologies in the manufacturing environment in cooperation with internal and external manufacturing and procurement organizations and to provide the corresponding product definition (3D models, drawings, bills of materials). This position is a central technical interface in the development, worldwide procurement and production of gas turbine compressor components (rotor, casing, blades and vanes etc) and plain bearings for power plant gas turbines.
