BCG's L&D model is evolving to deliver faster, more personalized, data-informed, and AI-enabled upskilling in support of BCG's 2030 strategy. You will be a critical leader in making that roadmap real, helping stand up the innovation team and tech squad, pilot adaptive learning, develop agentic learning prototypes to scale new products and experiences over time.
You will lead work across three connected domains
Innovation portfolio management - shaping the intake, prioritization, sequencing, governance, and delivery discipline for a portfolio of high-priority L&D innovation initiatives
Experimentation and product development - leading the development and validation of new audience-facing learning experiences, products, formats, and AI-enabled solutions
Implementation and scaling - partnering across L&D, Talent, IT/Product, and business stakeholders to move successful pilots into durable products, programs, platforms, or operating routines
The work will include experimentation with AI tools, AI workflows and automation for L&D internal transformation, and prototyping and piloting of agentic and adaptive learning experiences aligned to the 2030 L&D strategy. You will help BCG shift from slower, programmatic learning cycles toward rapid upskilling in short cycles - weeks, not years - particularly for emerging business needs and technical skills.
What You'll Bring
10+ years of experience in innovation, product management, digital transformation, learning transformation, talent/capability building, strategy execution, or enterprise program leadership
Experience leading teams in complex, global, matrixed environments, with a strong track record of coaching, developing, and mobilizing talent
Demonstrated ability to move work from ideation through design, build, pilot and value proof.
Experience in designing innovation with scale in mind, anticipating the technical, integration, and operating requirements needed to move successful pilots into production and enable a smooth handover to Product and IT
Curiosity and the desire to change the status quo.
Strong technology literacy, including comfort working with AI-enabled tools, digital products, workflow automation, learning platforms, or data-enabled solutions
Experience managing a portfolio of initiatives with competing priorities, limited resources, and senior stakeholder visibility
Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence senior leaders, align cross-functional partners, and manage tradeoffs with sound judgment
Experience working with agile, product-led, design-thinking, test-and-learn, or rapid prototyping approaches
Strong problem-solving and structured thinking, with the ability to bring clarity to ambiguous or fast-changing topics
Strong communication skills, including the ability to translate technical or conceptual ideas into clear business and learning implications
Comfort operating at both strategic and executional levels - you can set direction and personally help get the work done
Experience in L&D, talent, capability building, HR transformation, or professional services is preferred, but not required for candidates with strong innovation, product, or transformation experience
Who You'll Work With You will report to the Global L&D Strategy & Transformation Senior Director and lead the innovation team within the Global L&D Strategy & Transformation Office.
Your direct leadership scope will include the ringfenced innovation team responsible for developing and validating new learning experiences, products, formats, AI-enabled workflows, and agentic/adaptive prototypes. This team will act as a rapid experimentation and delivery capability for the L&D organization, helping relieve pressure from teams managing structured curricula and foundational programs while responding to accelerating demand for digital and AI upskilling.
You will work closely with
L&D Strategy Implementation & Transformation to align innovation priorities with the broader 2030 L&D roadmap, governance, investment choices, and transformation milestones
Rapid AI Adoption teams to connect innovation efforts with urgent business-critical skill needs, AI upskilling priorities, and emerging technical capability requirements
L&D Business Partners to understand demand from BCG's cohorts, businesses, regions, and functions and translate that demand into prioritized innovation opportunities
Learning Architecture and Curriculum teams to ensure successful pilots can be embedded into learning journeys and sustained beyond the innovation team
Learning Product and Operations teams to transition proven solutions into scalable delivery models, platforms, processes, and operating routines
IT, Product, Data, and AI teams to ensure prototypes and pilots are technically feasible, well-integrated, secure, and aligned with BCG's broader technology ecosystem
HR, Talent, and People Strategy teams to connect learning innovation to broader skill, performance, talent, and workforce priorities
Vendors and external partners where third-party platforms, content, tools, or technical capabilities can accelerate delivery
Together, you will help BCG build a faster, more adaptive, more technology-enabled learning ecosystem - one that strengthens our world-class apprenticeship and faculty-led learning while creating scalable, personalized, data-informed learning experiences for the future.
Additional info YOU'RE GOOD AT-
Taking ideas from concept to implementation - You can start with an ambiguous business or learning need, shape the problem, define the opportunity, mobilize the right people, test a technical solution, and evaluate what is needed to drive adoption and scale.
Running a high-quality innovation portfolio - You bring structure to fast-moving work. You can manage intake, prioritization, resourcing, stage gates, decision rights, dependencies, risks, and handoffs without slowing the team down.
Leading agile, multidisciplinary teams - You know how to lead teams that may include a mix of learning designers, product owners, technologists, data and analytics colleagues, AI specialists, vendors, and business SMEs. You create clarity, energy, accountability, and momentum.
Applying technology and AI pragmatically - You are tech literate and curious. You do not need to be an engineer, but you can engage credibly with technical teams, understand what AI and digital tools can and cannot do, and translate emerging capabilities into usable learning solutions.
Building solutions that are learner-centered and business-backed - You can connect business goals to skill needs, translate those needs into learning experiences, and keep outcomes at the center of the work.
Collaborating across a complex ecosystem - You can operate in a global, matrixed environment and build strong partnerships with L&D Business Partners, Learning Architecture, Product and Operations, Talent, HR, IT, Product, and senior business stakeholders.
Managing stakeholders with confidence and judgment - You know how to shape demand, negotiate tradeoffs, communicate progress, surface decisions, and keep stakeholders aligned across seniority levels and functions.
Experimenting with discipline - You are comfortable with rapid prototyping, piloting, feedback loops, and iteration, but you also know when to stop, pivot, scale, or hand off.
Leading people through ambiguity and change - You build trust, coach teams, manage performance, and help people do excellent work in a space where priorities, tools, and expectations are evolving quickly.
Translating innovation into adoption - You understand that a successful prototype is only valuable if it is used. You think ahead about change management, communications, enablement, measurement, and integration into existing workflows.
At BCG, our people and relationships are at the heart of everything we do. We believe that in-person collaboration plays an important role in our culture, mentorship, and professional development.
For this role, you will generally be expected to work from a BCG office or in person with clients on a regular basis (typically around 50% of working time), depending on business needs and in line with local policies and practices.
We aim to provide a dynamic and collaborative environment that fosters connection and teamwork.
