Job Description & Summary

As an Embedded/Firmware Engineer at PwC Digital Engineering, you will write firmware that makes connected devices smart. You will work on RTOS, sensor drivers, low-power designs, and OTA update mechanisms. This key role supports IoT projects by bringing hardware to life and shaping PwC's Digital Engineering capabilities. Job Position Title: IN_Associate_Embedded / Firmware Engineer_OC_Advisory_Bangalore Responsibilities:

• Develop firmware for connected devices using Embedded C/C++ and RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr)
• Implement wireless protocol stacks including BLE, Zigbee, LoRaWAN, NB-IoT
• Design low-power embedded systems for battery-operated industrial devices
• Architect and implement OTA firmware update mechanisms
• Perform hardware bring-up, debugging, and system integration
• Integrate with industrial automation systems such as KUKA, FANUC, ABB, Rockwell Automation

Mandatory skill sets:

• Embedded C/C++ programming
• RTOS experience: FreeRTOS, Zephyr, ThreadX
• Wireless protocols: BLE, Zigbee, LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, WiFi
• Hardware debugging tools: JTAG, SWD, logic analyzers
• Low-power hardware design
• OTA firmware update architecture
• Experience with industrial automation controllers (KUKA, FANUC, ABB, Rockwell Automation)

Preferred skill sets:

• Experience in industrial or IoT applications embedded systems development
• Familiarity with multiple RTOS and wireless protocols
• System integration skills

Years of experience required:

5–10 years in embedded systems development, preferably in industrial or IoT applications Education qualification:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Relevant certifications or training in embedded systems, RTOS, wireless communication protocols, or IoT technology are advantageous
