Job description Job Description: We are seeking an experienced City-level RTS PMU team member to support the State-Level Project Management Unit (PMU) for implementation of the Solar Rooftop Program under PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSGMBY) . The City-level RTS PMU team member will be responsible for stakeholder coordination, program monitoring, reporting, and deployment support across State Government Departments, DISCOMs, State Nodal Agencies, Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), and partner organizations. The role requires strong experience in renewable energy programs, utility sector transformation, stakeholder engagement, project management, and government coordination. The City-level RTS PMU team member will oversee implementation activities across cities, ensure achievement of program objectives, and provide strategic guidance to deployed PMU resources.

Develop implementation plans, work schedules, monitoring frameworks, and risk mitigation strategies.
2.Stakeholder Coordination & Government Engagement
Coordinate with State Energy Department, State Nodal Agencies, DISCOMs, Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), MNRE, SSEF, and other stakeholders.
Facilitate inter-agency collaboration to accelerate Conduct regular review meetings and act as the primary point of contact for state-level program implementation.

3.Rooftop Solar Program Implementation
Support demand aggregation initiatives and rooftop solar adoption across identified cities.
Facilitate consumer outreach, vendor engagement, implementation support, and grievance redressal mechanisms.
Monitor installation progress and address implementation integration and operational coordination with DISCOMs and relevant agencies.
4.Monitoring, Reporting & Knowledge Management
Develop dashboards, management information systems (MIS), and program performance reports.
Track deployment progress, KPIs, milestones, and implementation challenges.
Prepare monthly progress reports, presentations, case studies, and final assessment reports.

5.Capacity Building & Policy Support
Support training programs, capacity-building initiatives, awareness campaigns, and IEC activities.
Coordinate workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions with state and city stakeholders.
Collect policy feedback, identify regulatory bottlenecks, and recommend improvements to facilitate rooftop solar deployment.

Manage and mentor State Coordinators, DISCOM Coordinators, Agency Coordinators, and City-Level Deployment Officers.
Ensure effective deployment and performance of PMU resources across project locations.

Mandatory Skill Sets Program management and implementation of renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
Stakeholder management involving Government Departments, Utilities, DISCOMs, Regulatory Bodies, and Development Partners.
Project planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting. Preparation of MIS dashboards, status reports, and performance monitoring frameworks.
Strong understanding of renewable energy policies, rooftop solar programs, and utility sector operations.
Knowledge of public sector project implementation and multi-stakeholder coordination.
Risk management, issue resolution, and project communication, presentation skills.
Preferred Skill Sets Experience in PM Surya Ghar Yojana, PM-KUSUM, Solar Rooftop Programs, or similar renewable-energy initiatives.
Experience working with DISCOMs, State Nodal Agencies, Urban Local Bodies, or Government Departments.
Knowledge of consumer engagement, rooftop solar deployment processes, and vendor ecosystem management.
Experience in policy analysis, regulatory coordination, and institutional capacity building.
Familiarity with data analytics, dashboarding, and project monitoring tools.
Hindi and local regional languages will be preferred.
Years of Experience Required: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
