Job description
Scope: The Lead System Engineer is a senior technical leader within the Collaboration & Productivity Platforms team responsible for architecting, engineering, securing, automating, governing, and supporting enterprise Microsoft 365 services. This includes Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and associated email security platforms. The role provides Level 3/4 escalation support, drives platform strategy and governance, leads complex technical initiatives, mentors engineers, establishes engineering standards, and partners with Security, Infrastructure, Legal, HR, and business stakeholders to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable collaboration services across the enterprise.

What You’ll Do: Platform Reliability and Engineering
- Own the design, administration, performance, capacity, security, and lifecycle management of Microsoft 365 collaboration and productivity services.
- Maintain platform health, availability, and scalability while leading the resolution of complex incidents and escalations.
Security, Compliance, and Governance
- Implement and enhance Microsoft Purview capabilities including Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Information Protection, Sensitivity Labels, Retention, Records Management, and eDiscovery.
