Linux Software Engineer

Company: Qualcomm India Private Limited Job Area: Engineering Group, Engineering Group > Software Engineering General Summary: Qualcomm Data Center Business Unit is seeking a passionate and highly motivated Software Engineer to join our AI Software team and help build the next generation of AI infrastructure for large-scale inference and fine-tuning workloads. In this role, you will contribute to core platform technologies spanning host software, scalability infrastructure, and high-performance data movement solutions across Qualcomm's AI accelerator portfolio. You will design, develop, and optimize software that enables efficient execution of large language models (LLMs) while improving platform performance, scalability, reliability, and programmability. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in modern C++ development, object-oriented design, design patterns, Linux systems programming, distributed systems, and performance optimization. Experience with communication frameworks such as gRPC, Protocol Buffers, and low-level system software development is highly desirable. Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance software components for host software platforms.

• Build scalable infrastructure for distributed AI workloads, communication libraries, and data movement frameworks.

• Drive feature development, debugging, profiling, and performance optimization across the software stack.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including runtime, compiler, kernel, firmware, and hardware engineers.
