Career Category Information Systems Job Description The Mgr Software Engineering, R&D PPM Tech Lead will assist in designing, developing, and maintaining applications and associated data engineering solutions that meet business needs and ensuring the availability and performance of critical systems. This role involves working closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to create high-quality, scalable solutions and automating operations, monitoring system health, and responding to incidents to minimize downtime. You will be part of a team specifically focused on Amgen’s R&D PPM (Project Portfolio Management) capabilities. Amgen is using fully integrated and best-in-class technologies, having various enterprise platforms such as AWS, Databricks, Salesforce, Planisware and Anaplan; enterprise collaboration platforms such as O365, SharePoint Online and MS Teams, as well as vertical-specific platforms in R&D, Operations, Process Development and Commercial/Marketing areas. This role will manage Amgen India Commercialization Technology product team members and be part of the R&D Informatics organization. They should also have experience leading and effectively working with large, diverse and globally dispersed teams within a matrixed organization. Extensive collaboration with global cross functional teams is required to ensure seamless integration and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the end-to-end software development lifecycle, experience with data integration, experience leading or mentoring junior engineers, and be a Scaled Agile practitioner, coupled with leadership and transformation experience. This role demands the ability to drive and deliver against key organizational critical initiatives and deliver high-quality results in a matrixed organizational structure. Roles & Responsibilities:
