Job description
Overview Microsoft is a company where passionate innovators come to collaborate, envision what can be and take their careers further. This is a world of more possibilities, more innovation, more openness, and the sky is the limit thinking in a cloud-enabled world.
Microsoft’s Azure Data engineering team is leading the transformation of analytics in the world of data with products like databases, data integration, big data analytics, messaging & real-time analytics, and business intelligence. The products our portfolio include Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL DB, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure PostgreSQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, and Power BI. Our mission is to build the data platform for the age of AI, powering a new class of data-first applications and driving a data culture. Within Microsoft Fabric, the Data Integration team enables organizations to connect, move, and shape data across their entire data estate. As data is generated across applications, devices, and systems, our integration capabilities make it easy to ingest, transform, and prepare data for downstream use. Fabric’s unified integration experience simplifies how customers bring data together, ensuring it is trusted, usable, and ready to power analytics, real-time insights, and AI scenarios. The Data Gravity UX Design team in Data Cloud Studio creates connected data experiences across Microsoft Fabric. Our work spans beloved products that are already adopted at scale as well as future-facing concepts that make complex data tasks easier to understand and accomplish. We ground our work in direct customer evidence to make complex capabilities approachable without sacrificing depth. Join us to make powerful data experiences feel intuitive, trustworthy, and connected, while helping shape what’s next for AI-powered design. We do not just value differences or different perspectives. We seek them out and invite them in so we can tap into the collective power of everyone in the company. As a result, our customers are better served.
Responsibilities eliver end-to-end design of a defined set of data transformation and related Microsoft Fabric experiences, from understanding user needs through prototyping, execution, and iteration.
Synthesize user insights, product data, business needs, and technical constraints to identify explicit and unspoken needs and translate them into clear user experience plans.
Create and iterate user flows, wireframes, prototypes, detailed specifications, and user scenarios that support secure, accessible, and system-coherent experiences.
Balance incremental improvements to mature product areas with future-facing exploration, including AI-enabled experiences for data preparation, transformation, and connectivity.
Apply and contribute to design systems, patterns, interaction models, and visual design, ensuring local decisions strengthen the broader end-to-end Microsoft Fabric experience.
Collaborate closely with Product Management and Engineering to evaluate tradeoffs, communicate design rationale, perform implementation reviews and quality assurance, and carry designs through delivery.
Clearly present work and context to peers, managers, and stakeholders; invite feedback, influence collaborators, and contribute to an inclusive studio culture of learning and shared success.
Embody our culture and values
