• Order appropriate investigations and follows up on results/reports*
• Interpret hemodynamic parameters in critically ill patients
• Interpret laboratory & radiology results
• Orders and oversees transfusions of blood and blood products*
• Order and administer appropriate medication and other orders as required*
• Prepare an appropriate discharge summary
• Communicate adequate written/verbal discharge instructions to inpatients

• Perform pelvic examination and Pap smear*
• Perform cardio-pulmonary resuscitation
• Orders, adjusts artificial feeding modalities

• Performs nasogastric intubation
• Inserts urethral catheter
• Inserts intravenous cannulation
• Assist in surgical procedures*
• Conduct low risk vaginal deliveries *

• Reporting case reports case series and taking part in trials

• Presenting in National conferences posters or abstracts

*Trained / qualified designated staff (designee) to carry out duties and responsibilities required of the treating consultant under discussion /supervision/presence of Junior Consultant and above
