Resident - Medical Services

Clinical Duties

• Assess, examine, diagnose, and manage patients admitted to the hospital.
• Monitor patients' clinical progress and provide appropriate treatment as per established protocols.
• Assist consultants during ward rounds and implement treatment plans.
• Attend emergency cases and provide immediate medical care when required.
• Perform clinical procedures as per competency and departmental requirements.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records, case sheets, and discharge summaries.

Patient Care

• Ensure continuous monitoring of patients and communicate any significant changes to consultants.
• Counsel patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
• Coordinate with nursing and allied healthcare teams for effective patient management.

Emergency and Critical Care

• Respond promptly to medical emergencies, code blue calls, and ICU requirements.
• Stabilize critically ill patients and facilitate timely referrals when necessary.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain proper documentation as per hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.
