About the role As a Senior Oracle Database Administrator, you are a results‑driven, customer‑focused technical leader responsible for the reliability, performance, and security of Blackbaud’s enterprise Oracle database platforms. You bring a strong sense of ownership and accountability, delivering outcomes that support both operational excellence and customer commitments while helping power the work of purpose‑driven organisations.
What you’ll do
- Deliver reliable and secure Oracle database services by owning day‑to‑day operations, availability, and performance across production environments.
- Improve scalability and resilience by installing, upgrading, patching, and managing Oracle databases using automation‑first approaches.
- Protect critical data by executing and validating backup, recovery, replication, and high‑availability strategies.
- Partner with application and cloud teams to optimise performance, support migrations, and ensure operational readiness for new and existing solutions.
- Monitor database health and capacity using industry‑standard tools, proactively identifying risks and resolving issues before they impact customers.
