Job description
Senior Technical Business Analyst
Are you a seasoned SAP FI expert ready to make a real impact at the intersection of finance and cutting-edge technology? Join a globally distributed, collaborative team where your expertise will shape the future of SAP S/4 HANA solutions and drive meaningful change across a complex, fast-paced financial landscape. If you thrive on solving challenging problems and turning business requirements into elegant IT solutions, this role is for you!
About the Role
As a Senior SAP FI Consultant based in Hyderabad, you'll be at the heart of our SAP S/4 HANA ecosystem — maintaining, designing and implementing innovative financial IT solutions that matter. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with the latest SAP technology, collaborate with talented colleagues across the globe and take full end-to-end ownership of impactful initiatives from concept to production. You'll be a trusted partner to both business and technical stakeholders, helping to bridge the gap between complex financial requirements and smart, scalable IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- SAP customising and system parametrisation to ensure robust, scalable and efficient IT solutions that support business continuity and growth
- Conduct IT business analysis across key financial domains including Lease Accounting (RE-FX), Accounts Receivables (AR), Accounts Payables (AP), Bank Connectivity, Validations, Substitutions and IT interfaces with other systems
- Translate business requirements into functional designs and system specifications, covering all aspects of new solution implementations including testing and deployment to production
- Analyse, document and discuss requirements for new solutions and improvements in close collaboration with business experts, other SAP Business Analysts and Application Engineers
- Partner with ABAP developers during the realisation phase to ensure accurate understanding and implementation of business requirements through to production
- Support incident handling and maintenance of productive IT solutions and provide quarter close support to ensure seamless business continuity
- Drive continuous improvement by proactively identifying opportunities to enhance existing SAP functionalities and deliver innovative new solutions
About the Team
You'll be joining a diverse and dynamic team of SAP IT business analysts, UC4, CPI, ABAP and HANA developers and application engineers. Our globally distributed team works closely with internal Finance colleagues, with a significant and vibrant hub based right here in Hyderabad. Our mission is to run, maintain, and continuously improve existing SAP functionalities while also developing innovative new solutions. We own multiple interfaces to and from SAP FI and a variety of custom solutions in SAP designed to support both internal and external requirements. We are a team that values collaboration, knowledge sharing and a culture where every voice is heard — whether you're working across time zones or sitting side by side.
About You
You are a curious, driven and solutions-oriented professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality outcomes. You bring a strong blend of technical SAP expertise and business acumen, and you're equally comfortable engaging with finance stakeholders as you are deep-diving into system configurations. You communicate with clarity and confidence, take ownership of your work and bring a positive, collaborative energy to everything you do. You embrace complexity, stay composed under pressure and are always looking for smarter ways to solve problems.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on experience within SAP FI and SAP customising, with a strong track record of delivering end-to-end solutions
- Deep domain knowledge in at least two of the following areas: Lease Accounting (RE-FX), Accounts Receivables (AR) and Accounts Payables (AP)
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into functional designs and system specifications, including testing and production deployment
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills — the ability to quickly grasp complex systems, processes and data structures
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills — able to work effectively with both technical teams and business partners at all levels
These are additional nice to haves
- Experience working with SAP S/4 HANA in a large-scale, globally distributed environment
- Basic knowledge of SQL and the ability to apply it in the context of SAP data analysis and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with UC4, CPI or ABAP development processes, enabling effective collaboration with developers
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Finance or a related Business field
- Experience providing quarter close support and managing time-sensitive financial processes
- Resilience and adaptability — comfortable navigating ambiguity and working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive, end-to-end ownership mindset with a 'can-do' attitude
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.
