The responsibilities below represent a superset of the work this role may perform. Actual day-to-day focus will vary over the course of any given release and across releases. The TPM is not expected to perform all of these responsibilities all of the time, or to do so without support from the broader team. · Partner directly with Windchill+ Platform R&D teams to define, refine, prioritize, and maintain executable product backlogs. · Translate product, service, security, compliance, and operational requirements into clear deliverables, epics, stories, acceptance criteria, and release outcomes. · Own day-to-day TPM execution for assigned platform initiatives through discovery, planning, development, validation, and release. · Coordinate platform readiness for Windchill product releases, maintenance releases, security updates, supporting component changes, and installed-base retrofits. · Work with engineering and QA leads to assess technical approaches, dependencies, resource needs, delivery estimates, validation requirements, and release feasibility. · Lead backlog refinement and support sprint planning, PI planning, release planning, story acceptance, and TPM readouts with globally distributed Agile teams. · Manage work across Product Management, Platform R&D, QA, Cloud Engineering, operations, integrated products, and shared services, converting dependencies into explicit backlog and accountable ownership. · Facilitate technical discovery and design spikes when requirements, architecture, or operational impacts are not sufficiently understood. · Maintain a reliable view of planned, completed, deferred, and at-risk work; identify decisions and escalations early enough to protect delivery. · Balance urgent tactical needs with longer-term platform objectives and roadmap priorities. · Begin applying Design for Operations to assigned work by considering provisioning, configuration, monitoring, support, maintenance, security, upgrades, retrofitting, validation, and customer enablement during backlog definition. · Continuously strengthen technical and product-management expertise through hands-on collaboration, mentoring, and formal or self-directed learning. Growth Opportunities As experience and organizational practices mature, the TPM will expand from hands-on platform execution into broader service-level ownership: · Independently manage multiple platform workstreams across releases, including more complex cross-team and installed-base changes. · Lead selected Design for Operations assessments and help evolve the organization's methods, templates, and working practices. · Define how proposed capabilities change the experience for customers, administrators, partners, support teams, and service operators. · Own selected service improvements from definition through release, connecting the intended service experience to the required platform, automation, documentation, enablement, and operational backlog. · Partner with the Offering Owner on changes that affect the Service Guide, service catalog, customer commitments, or broader offering definition. · Provide broader Windchill+ TPM coverage, enabling the lead platform TPM to concentrate on strategic, cross-offering, and technically complex initiatives. Skills and Knowledge Required · Strong experience with enterprise software development, platform engineering, cloud services, DevOps, systems integration, or SaaS delivery teams. · Demonstrated ability to translate technical and business requirements into an executable Agile backlog. · Experience writing deliverables, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements. · Experience prioritizing backlogs and performing story or release acceptance. · Working knowledge of Scrum, Agile planning, backlog refinement, and iterative software delivery. · Ability to understand complex technical dependencies and drive decisions across multiple engineering and stakeholder teams. · Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with developers, architects, QA engineers, operations teams, Product Managers, and senior stakeholders. · Ability to work independently while maintaining alignment across globally distributed teams. · Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, science, mathematics, or an equivalent technical discipline. Preferred · Experience with Windchill installation, deployment, administration, integrations, or functional capabilities. · Experience with Microsoft Azure or other public or private cloud platforms. · Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, DevOps pipelines, infrastructure automation, Docker, Kubernetes, or enterprise application deployment technologies. · Familiarity with Java-based enterprise application architectures, REST APIs, scripting, Linux, and secure communication technologies. · Experience with Jira or similar requirements and backlog management systems. · Understanding of application security, compliance, identity and access management, monitoring, and operational validation. · Experience supporting SaaS releases, platform updates, maintenance releases, security updates, or installed-base retrofits. · Exposure to service design, operational readiness, or product-to-operations transition practices. Experience · Typically 6 or more years of relevant experience in enterprise software development, technical product management, engineering delivery, cloud services, systems integration, deployment, or customer-facing technical roles. · Formal Product Manager or Product Owner experience is valuable but is not required when the candidate has demonstrated ownership of complex technical delivery and engineering backlog. · Experience coordinating work across multiple teams or systems is strongly preferred. · The candidate should be comfortable starting in a hands-on execution role and growing into broader service-level ownership.
