Software Engineer II

• Design, develop, and maintain our internal billing workflow platform's VB.NET WinForms desktop application — a critical service in our monthly billing workflow system processing all our monthly client billings before getting invoiced. This is a primary day-to-day responsibility.

• Work directly with SQL Server: write and optimize T-SQL, stored procedures, and SQL Server Agent jobs

• Contribute to the development of new features, system enhancements, and performance optimization initiatives as part of the platform's ongoing in-place modernization effort

• Contribute to execution of the platform's future migration to a modern web-based architecture, helping implement target architecture (e.g., ASP.NET Core/Blazor) under the guidance of senior engineers and BI leadership.

• Write and maintain automated tests; grow test coverage from its current thin baseline.

• Participate in code reviews and follow the team's established coding standards, style guide, and code-audit protocol

• Collaborate with BI, Analyst, Processing, and Submission team stakeholders to translate billing workflow requirements into robust technical solutions
