Job description
ABOUT US
Glomo builds fast, secure, and borderless payment products. Our real-time cross-border network connects local payment rails across countries, so customers move money across borders in seconds.
Glomo holds full authorisation as a Payment Service Provider, the first of its kind in India, and is regulated by IFSCA. Payment veterans with more than 100 years of combined experience in large payment products built and back Glomo.
YOUR IMPACT
As an Infrastructure Engineer at Glomo, you own the platform that every payment runs on. You design, build, and operate our systems on GCP and Kubernetes, and keep them available, secure, and compliant.
Our infrastructure moves real money for real customers every day. A failed deploy or a slow database is a failed payment. You make sure that the platform scales with our volume, recovers fast from failure, and passes regulatory and PCI-DSS audits.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Run our cloud platform - design, build, and operate our GCP environments (production and sandbox) as infrastructure as code.
- Own Kubernetes - operate our GKE clusters, deploy pipelines, autoscale, and rollout strategy for the Rails monolith, Sidekiq workers, and supporting services.
- Keep data safe and fast - operate PostgreSQL (AlloyDB) and Redis: replication, read replicas, backups, point-in-time recovery, upgrades, and query and connection tuning.
- Make failure boring - build and test disaster recovery and failover. Define SLOs, alerts, and runbooks, and lead the response when an incident occurs.
