Rexel in India, is a fully owned INR 850 cr + subsidiary of Rexel Global, having presence in the country with 16 branches and 16 stock points, from where we are serving customers on a Pan Inda level. We offer a wide variety of products across various categories covering length and breadth of the Industrial Automation, Lighting requirements, Panels and Supply Chain Consolidation (C-Class Direct and Indirect material purchases) for plants and offices. We are a one stop source for your business needs ranging from Stationery, office supplies to Industrial Automation.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives aligned with organizational goals to drive cost optimization, business growth, and supply continuity.
Lead the identification, evaluation, and onboarding of new suppliers, markets, and sourcing opportunities to strengthen the supplier ecosystem and mitigate risks.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure long-term partnerships, service excellence, and value creation.
Drive supplier negotiations, contract management, and commercial discussions to secure favorable terms, improve profitability, and enhance supply assurance.
Design and implement sourcing strategies that improve operational efficiency, reduce procurement costs, and optimize total cost of ownership (TCO).

Monitor market trends, commodity pricing, supply chain disruptions, and industry developments to proactively identify risks and opportunities.
Lead supplier performance management, including quality, delivery, cost, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Procurement, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, and Business Units to align sourcing strategies with business requirements.
Establish and govern sourcing policies, processes, and best practices to ensure compliance, sustainability, and ethical procurement standards.
Drive digital transformation and process improvement initiatives within sourcing and procurement functions to enhance productivity and decision-making.
Mentor and develop sourcing teams, fostering a high-performance culture focused on innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Support business expansion and strategic projects through effective sourcing, supplier development, and risk management strategies.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline. MBA or professional procurement certification (CPSM, CIPS, APICS) preferred.
15+ years of progressive experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain, or Category Management within the Manufacturing industry.
Proven expertise in sourcing raw materials, components, capital equipment, MRO, and indirect procurement categories.
Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and influencing skills with demonstrated success in managing high-value supplier contracts and commercial agreements.
Track record of delivering significant cost savings, supplier performance improvements, and procurement transformation initiatives.
