Job Purpose

The pathologist should have Core expertise in all following areas and if not than especially first 3 areas; namely;

• Clinical Pathology

• Hematology

• Histopathology

Job Responsibilities

• To establish technical work procedures and methods.

• To supervise and direct activities of the clinical laboratories and testing of blood specimens in accordance with accepted national standards and administrative policies of the hospital to enable to interpret test results to provide a basis for treatment of disease.

• To train and supervise TECHNICIAN in performance of tests and microscopic analysis or makes tests and prepare materials for microscopic study.
