Sr. Team Member - NPDQ

JOB Purpose :- To follow NPD process for development of New parts across Castings, Forging, Bar Machining, Fasteners from Proto to production stage. Main Accountability :- New Part Development:

· DFM study

· Sample parts inspection and approval

· Tooling approval and tooled up parts approval

· PPAP Audit & Bulk Approval for SOP

Alternate Source Development:

· Current supplier quality issues Resolution

· Horizontal deployment of best practices

New Supplier Assessment

· Part of CFT (Domain, NPQ, FE) Scope: Assessment on QCLDM & Commodity Specific

Issue Resolution

· Line side issue resolution along with SQE (12 MRO)

· Field failure resolution along with FQC (12 MRO)

· Establish implementation of corrective action at supplier end – resubmission and review of PPAP

· Process improvement

· Horizontal deployment of improvements across domains · Upgradation of facilities Key Challenges of the role :- · Capturing internal customers‘ (NPDQ, Domain & EDM) requirements and prioritize activities.

· In-depth assessment of DFM with PD & supplier to establish a robust casting/machining/Forging process with quality system.

· Skill-set to ascertain quality disposition of parts and clear the approvals.

· Managing sudden / unforeseen challenges in development, supply chain & supplier process which affects parts quality & build timeline.
