Job description
- Patient Care & Monitoring: Assess patient health needs, record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure), and track changes or early signs of clinical deterioration. [1, 2, 3]
- Medical Administration: Administer prescribed medications, start intravenous (IV) lines, perform dressings, and assist with diagnostic or surgical procedures. [1, 2]
- Care Planning: Develop, update, and implement individual patient care plans in coordination with doctors and multidisciplinary teams. [1, 2]
- Admissions & Discharges: Manage patient intake, transfers, handovers, and discharge instructions. [1, 2]
- Patient & Family Education: Explain treatment regimens, medication schedules, and home-care or preventative health measures. [1, 2]
- Unit & Ward Administration: Maintain medical records, manage ward supplies, check emergency equipment, and oversee junior nurses or nursing students
