Job description
- Perform echocardiography procedures, including 2D Echo, M-Mode, Doppler, and Color Doppler studies, as per physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Prepare patients for echocardiography by explaining the procedure, verifying patient identification, and ensuring appropriate positioning and comfort.
- Operate and maintain echocardiography equipment to obtain accurate, high-quality cardiac images.
- Ensure proper image acquisition and documentation of relevant cardiac parameters as per departmental protocols.
- Coordinate with cardiologists for image review, interpretation, and reporting, escalating urgent or abnormal findings promptly according to established protocols.
- Ensure timely completion of echocardiography procedures to support the smooth workflow of the Health Check-up Block.
- Coordinate with General Medicine, Cardiology, and other diagnostic departments to minimize patient waiting time and ensure completion of prescribed investigations.
- Maintain accurate patient records, procedure details, images, and reports in the Hospital Information System (HIS) or Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), as applicable.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report technical issues to the concerned team to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Follow infection prevention protocols, equipment disinfection procedures, and patient safety standards.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and adhere to hospital policies, quality standards, and applicable clinical documentation requirements.
