Job description
- Performs technical data research, assessment and acquisition using the Internet, supplier websites, search engines, spreadsheets, or internal databases to determine the correct HTS code and ECCN Code.
- Reviewing product descriptions and technical data to determine import / export classification in accordance with the published Schedule (HTS) Schedules and other approved resources for Import/Export compliance.
- Research and audit import / export invoices and reconcile discrepancies.
- Assign appropriate Harmonized Tariff Codes (HTS), and Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN’s) to all purchased and sold electronic products.
- Interpret Customs rulings, explanatory notes, and technical product drawing to determine correct classifications.
- Performs technical data research, assessment to determine the correct HTS code and ECCN Code including controlled electronic products.
- Have a strong understanding of the classification process and should be proficient in working on different categories in CCL.
- Review product descriptions and technical data to determine import / export classification in accordance with the published Schedule (HTS) Schedules and other approved resources for Import/Export compliance. Enter classification codes as per approved documentation standards.
